In June, Nordens Ark Zoo implemented Ancon G2 at all checkout points in the restaurant, shop, entrance and kiosk. In addition, self-service and a fully automated entry system.

Nordens Ark is located on the west coast of Sweden and is a zoo that works to give endangered animals a future. Before the summer, ten Ancon G2 cash registers were installed around the park. With fast card payments and smart integrations, the Ancon G2 will help Nordens Ark increase customer service and free up staff time.

In addition to traditional checkout kiosks, Nordens Ark uses integration with the HotSoft hotel and reservation system, allowing guests to put a bill on their room.

To improve the guest experience, the entrance area has been moved into the park, allowing free access to the hotel, shop, restaurant and kiosk – all of which were previously located inside the entrance. The entrance area consists of manned ticket offices and express (self-service) ticket offices, where visitors can buy a ticket at any ticket office and then scan it to be admitted. In the future, it will also be possible to buy tickets via the Internet using RFID cards for entry.

Integrated solutions throughout the park

All solutions are developed by Ancon in Lysekil and fully integrated with each other, which provides a great opportunity for efficiency and further development. The scanning unit that communicates with the entrance gate from KABA is developed by Ancon’s subsidiary KG Nordic AB.

We wish Nordens Ark all the best and we look forward to a long-term collaboration with new services that will help you achieve your goal of saving endangered animals.
